Redefining Flight Training
The aircraft pilots train in helps shape how they understand flight from the very beginning. That is why Wasatch Aero chose to start with the SD3 and SD3T.
Our goal is to create the aircraft future aviators learn to fly, one that earns the confidence of students, instructors, and flight schools from the very first lesson. Purpose-built for training, the SD3 and SD3T are designed to deliver greater safety, efficiency, capability, and reliability while setting a new standard for the category.

Two-Seat Light Sport
The next evolution in light sport aviation. Built around a carbon fiber airframe, the proven Rotax 912 engine, and a full-airframe BRS parachute system as standard, the SD3 is engineered to take full advantage of the FAA’s new MOSAIC framework while delivering the durability, efficiency, and reliability required for daily flight training.

Pilot Experience Aircraft Knowledge Standardization
PEAKS is Wasatch Aero’s owner training program, created to ensure every aircraft is matched with a pilot who knows how to operate it safely, confidently, and effectively.
Each owner will receive standardized instruction from the people who designed and built the aircraft, combining deep systems knowledge, proven procedures, and practical decision-making. Because a capable aircraft reaches its full potential only when the pilot understands how to use it well.

SD Unified Mastery Manufacturer Instructor Training
SUMMIT is how the Wasatch Aero training standard grows. Through a network of authorized training centers and certified flight instructors, SUMMIT will ensure every pilot receives the same high level of instruction, no matter where they train.
Each instructor is prepared to teach the aircraft as it was intended to be flown, using standardized procedures, aircraft-specific knowledge, and a consistent training philosophy. The result will be a dependable experience for students, instructors, and operators across the country.

Next on the roadmap
The Four-Seat Standard
Phase Two carries the Wasatch Aero vision from training into personal ownership. Building on the momentum of the SD3 and SD3T, it introduces a twin-engine aircraft designed to expand capability without sacrificing familiarity, efficiency, or safety.
A multi-engine turbine twin, powered by the same Turbo Tech engine as the SD3T, will establish a new standard for advanced multi-engine training while delivering the performance and utility expected of a serious personal aircraft.
Phase Two
Multi-Engine Turbine Twin
Advanced Training & Personal Flight
Built to lead multi-engine flight training and perform equally well as a personal aircraft, this turbine twin will be powered by two of the same Turbo Tech engines used in the SD3T.
For flight schools, that creates true fleet commonality: shared parts, familiar maintenance practices, and a more efficient path from single-engine to multi-engine training. Students advance to the twin with an engine and operating philosophy they already understand, while operators benefit from greater simplicity across the fleet.

Urban Mobility & Autonomy
Phase Three is where the Wasatch Aero vision expands beyond aircraft ownership and begins to reshape how people move.
The goal is short-distance urban flight supported by autonomous systems designed to make it safe, quiet, practical, and routine. Every step in Phases One and Two helps build toward that future, from the airframes and propulsion systems to the safety culture, operational knowledge, and trust earned across the aviation community.
Phase Three
Urban Mobility Aircraft
Bladeless Propulsion · Electric Flight · Autonomy
Our first urban mobility aircraft will be designed around bladeless propulsion, creating a path toward quieter, safer operation in populated environments. By moving beyond exposed rotor systems, Wasatch Aero aims to address one of the most significant barriers to making urban flight practical, acceptable, and routine.
The program will advance along two parallel tracks. The first is a purpose-built electric aircraft designed specifically for short-distance mobility. The second brings autonomous capability to proven airframe platforms the industry already knows and trusts.
Together, these efforts move aviation toward a future where flight is no longer something every passenger must learn to operate, but a practical form of transportation they can simply use.
